I am in love with entire 'As I Am Naturally' line! (Review)

Long time folks!

So I am FINALLY done with school and I really could not be happier. I am starting to feel more like myself again. I mean literally the last month I did not visit any blogs, watched any Youtube videos or even blogged myself. Whew! So right now I am definitely getting inspired by fashion and make up and many more things so expect a lot more updates this time going forward.

Even though I was entirely concentrated on school, I just began my hair journey as a 'natural' and I have fallen completely in love with the As I Am Naturally line.

I have been using the leave-in conditioner, curling jelly, twist defining cream, moisture milk and the Cocoshea spray. I have not used any of their shampoos/conditioners because I have staple products that do the exact same thing that cost less.

I already did a review on the curling jelly and you can find it here. When I used the curling jelly, I also used the leave in conditioner that is an absolutely must. Otherwise, the styling products in this line will flake, flake, flake.

[$10.50 USD] As I Am Leave-In Conditioner. The foundation to this line. I like the leave in conditioner in this line because it adds so much slip to the hair and I love the creamy texture. It smells sweet and faint. It can also be noted that when I use this leave in, the detangling process is much smoother and I notice few to no hair on my comb. 4.5/5 for me. Not a complete five due to the pricing and how much product you actually purchase.

[$22.00 USD for 16oz]As I Am Twist Defining Cream. While I absolutely love the definition that this cream gives you, I just cannot stand the flakes. This cream eliminates the need to add a gel since it provides the hold necessary for a nice twist/braid out. It still comes down to the fact that this cream is $20 USD and it still flakes when you use the leave-in conditioner which in itself cost about $11 USD and I had to use so much just to REDUCE the flakes. I mean you could pat my hair and little snowflakes would fall out. It's entirely too expensive to underperform the way it has and so I've switched to the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Cream for my twisted and braided styles. I do not know what I am going to do with the rest of the cream, but I really wished this work. This cream had my hair smelling divine, but I just cannot do the flakes. 2/5.

[$8.00 USD]As I Am Smoothing Gel. This gel holds my edges DOWN yet still allows some texture. A lot of edges gels within three hours my hair provided enough resistance and it is standing up again. This gel, TWELVE hours in and it is still laid down. I mean it looks exactly like that picture from the minute I put it on to twelve hours later. No exaggeration. Now when I say it still allows some texture, I mean the edges curl up to a nice wave. It is so pretty. The hold is enforced when you tie a scarf down for a few minutes. I have not tried this out yet, but the company states you can re-wet the hair the next day and the gel is reactivated. This gel texture is more like a custard/jelly. I've seen reviews where women used this as a gel for wash and go's. I will eventually try it and see if it will give me similar results to the curling jelly since they have similar textures. The smoothing gel is thicker though and moves far less in the jar in comparison to the coiling jelly.   5/5

[$16.00 USD]As I Am Moisture Milk. This definitely enhances the finish I get from the curling jelly. The curling jelly will dry to a crunch  and the moisture milk when used as a daily moisturizers softens and makes the curls pop even more. Every morning I re-wet my hair and then I apply the moisture milk. It goes on white and you have to wait a few minutes for it to dry to a clear finish, I get so many compliments on the curl pattern of my hair, and my hair feels so smooth and moisturized. The curls are a bit looser and fluffier due to me rewetting, but the definition is still there and this moisture milk definitely plays a huge part in it. If one thing is clear with this line is you have to use the entire line for the BEST results. 5/5

[$15.00 USD] As I Am CocoShea Spray. I have not figured out how I want to use this and the company gives a very vague description. I was just so in love with the other products, I could not resist buying this one. So I pretty much just use it as a finishing product. I use it after using the curling jelly for a bit softer and shinier finish. I use it on my twist/braids before unwinding as a moisture product. I spray it on when I want some shine. I love the way it feels. The jury is still out on this one though, but I feel like I will like this product very much as a sealer/finisher.

Overall, you can see that you have to use the entire styling line for the best results. I presume if I used the shampoo/conditioners I would see even better results, but this line already cost a lot I think. I really hope that my review was helpful and keep in mind that the foundation to this line is the leave-in conditioner or its flake city! Thanks for reading!
