My Hair: I Bigchopped (BC), I am now 'Natural'

Posted by EbonyYoungin at 10:06 PM
Hey lovelies,

I have been transitioning from having chemically relaxed straightened hair to my natural coily curly hair texture (natural hair). I have been in the transitioning stage for about four months and I finally cut my hair recently. It is a humongous change for me since I have had straight hair since the first grade. During the time I have been transitioning I have been wearing synthetic hair so I wouldn't have to manipulate my hair too much.

This is me.

I am feeling pretty insecure right now about my hair. It has been such a huge transition.  I feel like I have such a fat and round face and I miss the straight hair framing and slimming my face some. So this is my new regimen for my current hair texture:

My Hair Regimen
Shampoo 1x a week (Creme of Nature Moisture & Shine Shampoo)
Conditioner Wash 2-3x (or as needed) a week (Herbal Essences Conditioners)
Deep-conditioning 1-2x a week (Silk Elements Mixed Silk Deep Conditioner / Aphogee 2 min Reconstucter)
Apply Leave-in Conditioners (As I Am Leave-In Conditioner)
Hair Stylers (As I Am Curling Jelly, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie)

Allow my hair to air dry

In the morning:

Rewet the hair with mixture of water and Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Moisture Mist.

Apply Curls Refreshers (As I Am Moisture Milk)

I plan on blowing out and flat ironing my hair sometime next week and I will share my regimen for that when I straighten my hair. I will be using Mizani Thermasmooth products.

XOXO,
Vainessa

I'm sorry that you're feeling insecure. I actually looked at the first photo and thought, "She has the perfect face for a short haircut. And I love the little bow headband.

When my sister and I were teens, I always wanted her to stop relaxing her hair and let it go natural. It's such a sharp look.
