I cannot wait for spring to start. I love fall and winter wear, but I am dying to wear some bright colors, pastels and patterns and play with different textures. I am anemic, so I am always pretty cold and so I gravitate to dark solid colors for more sunlight during the cold season. I love it in the beginning because I feel so sophisticated, but now that it's near the end and I just feels dull and boring. I cannot wait for the warm weather so I can be bright! I want to incorporate some of this season's trends into my wardrobe. I already addressed the mint green trend. I got a mint shirt the other day. but I realize it was a mint blue (this season its mint green) Oh well though, it is still cute.

I also am on look out for a Peplum skirt or blazer. I've always found that style to be feminine and almost empowering. It gives anyone a hourglass shape and it is a poised look, which I strive to be.
As far as color blocking, I am on the fence. Where I live in Georgia, there aren't a lot of style or fashion enthusiast so I do not know if anyone will get what I am doing. Then, a second thought comes to mind 'Who cares?'. As of right now if I could find a great color-blocking shirt or dress I would be happy. I am looking at you Forver 21! Until then I am think of a green and purple combination with some shorts and a cute tee shirt. We will see.
I also see we have been stepping away a bit from, platform heels and we are back to the classy ankle straps. I've always thought of them to be sexy. In my eyes they make a woman's legs look even longer and stronger. They just make the legs so much more of a focal point especially with a short skirt or dress. I've been eyeing some Jessica Simpson shoes...hmmm....

Then the trend of neons, I am not quite sure if I even really like it. I don't usually ever wear neons and I'm not sure I would wear more than once and more than likely it would be a nighttime thing. I think I'll just admire other fahsionistas in this trend.
So these are the current spring 2012 trends I am just kind of pondering on. When I look at trends though I always try to make sure I can incorporate these seperates into a long-term thing. I just do not see a trend is worth you wearing probably once or twice and then you give it away as soon as the season closes. I just do not have the money to spend like that. I believe in a classic and timeless closet, but I still want to have fun every once in a while. What do you guys think of this year trends and also trends in general?
XOXO,
Vainessa
